Hanna + Jarred
How They Met
The two lovebirds met at Tompkins High School, where they were both coaches and Algebra II teachers. Hanna coached the cheerleaders; Jarred coached the football players. Jarred knew from the time he first met Hanna that he wanted to pursue a relationship with her. She was already in a relationship, but that did not stop Jarred. His patience and persistence helped him greatly in the long run. Hanna eventually came around and said 'yes' to dating him. In a way, they became 'high school sweethearts,' the coach-version. ;D
How He Proposed
Jarred popped the question at their end-of-the-school-year faculty meeting. During the meeting, there was a slideshow that played. The teachers were supposed to give three words to describe the school year. Towards the end of the slideshow, the screen showed the words, "Hanna will you..." Hanna laughed out loud thinking it was a funny joke, but little did she know Jarred was really about to propose to her. As he walked over to her, Hanna realized what was happening and stood up to face him with tears in her eyes. She was in shock at what was happening. Jarred bent down on one knee and started to speak, but he forgot what he had prepared to say. As he stuttered to get the words he had prepared to say out, Hanna quickly said "YES" - she was ready to accept what she knew Jarred was asking. Jarred wanted to finish the speech he had prepared though, and he did. Then, the two shared a hug and kiss in front of their closest work friends and colleagues. They were FINALLY engaged.
